Manager

Full time position, based in Bucharest

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate person to take over a key management role in Individual Fundraising. This position has a key contribution to reaching WWF-Romania’s nature conservation goals by attracting donations from individual donors.

The main responsibility of this position is to coordinate the WWF’s individual fundraising (IFR) activities in Romania. The IFR manager will coordinate the fundraising team to develop and implement the most effective strategies to bring, convert and retain donors on all fundraising channels adopted by WWF in Romania.

Key DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES will include:

  • Developing the annual fundraising strategy, action plan and implementation roadmap for acquisition and retention of individual donors, based on the Organization’s plans and targets;
  • Contribution to creating the marketing strategy of the organization;
  • Developing fundraising stories and campaigns;
  • Recommending strategic actions to increase the efficiency and profitability of fundraising programs and channels;
  • Coordinating the fundraising team to maintain and increase performance.  The IFR Manager will oversee the performance of the Offline fundraising team, online fundraising coordinator, retention and conversion coordinator and Telemarketing officer;
  • Transforming opportunities into fundraising actions (i.e. event fundraising) by working closely with other teams in marketing and conservation;
  • Identify potential relevant partnerships for the benefit and improvement of the fundraising programs;
  • Developing the monthly targets and key actions to reach them
  • Ensuring proper budget management and campaign management in collaboration with internal and external parties;
  • Overseeing the performance of external agencies and other partners and addressing challenges with agility;
  • The IFR manager works under the supervision of the Marketing and fundraising director of WWF Romania and has a dotted line with the IFR manager of WWF CEE.  The IFR manager acts as Deputy marketing and fundraising manager when required.  The IFR manager is the Romanian representative of IFR for WWF CEE and WWF International

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge (qualifications):
    • University degree in business, marketing, management, finance, PR or communications.
  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years of professional experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, digital marketing, building sales funnels, public relations or related fields.
  • Skills and abilities:
    • Sociable, with good organizational and interpersonal skills, encourage open communication, feedback and builds consensus;
    • Open-minded, collaborative with the ability to function in a multi-cultural environment;
    • Problem solver, open to dealing with ambiguity;
    • Proactive, with a can-do attitude; self-starter, quick learner
    • Organized, results-driven, intrapreneur
    • Interested in WWF activities and willing to learn about WWF’s mission and strategy.  Adheres to WWF’s mission and strives for impact, actively takes action and overcomes challenges.
    • Adhere to the WWF mission, as well as LIVE in line with the WWF Values: Courage, Integrity, Respect and Collaboration
    • Fluency in English (written and spoken), excellent computer skills, and strong commitment/ interest to work in nature conservation.
